Started by an optician who was tired of saying no.
In 2010, our founder Aarav Patel was an optician at a small high-street practice in Woodford Green. Week after week, family members came in asking the same question: "My mum can't get out of the house — can you come to us?" The answer was always no.
That year, he applied to become an NHS-contracted domiciliary provider and started visiting patients in their own homes — at first in his own car, with a folding chart and a borrowed retinoscope. Today, HomeSight is a team of forty clinicians and care coordinators serving Greater London, the Home Counties and the wider South East.
The mission hasn't changed. Essential care, delivered at the kitchen table, free at the point of use for those the NHS says qualify.
