Book a home visit
HomeSight brings eye tests, hearing tests, earwax removal and hearing aid fitting to your own home across Greater London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire. There is no GP referral to arrange and no waiting list.
Call 0800 080 6095 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, or use the form below and a HomeSight coordinator will call you back.
What you can book
- NHS-funded home eye test. Free if you qualify. A full one-hour examination at home including retinal photography, with NHS-voucher frames at no charge, home fitting and delivery, and a GP letter where needed. Check who qualifies.
- Private home eye test, £30. The same examination when NHS criteria are not met. More about home eye tests.
- Free hearing screening. A first check of your hearing at home, with no obligation. More about home hearing care.
- Full hearing assessment, £30. Refunded if you go ahead with hearing aids from HomeSight.
- Earwax removal at home, £80. By microsuction, including full otoscopy of both ears. How earwax removal works.
- Care home visits. For managers arranging care for several residents. Care home eye and hearing care.
What happens after you book
- A coordinator calls you back. They confirm what you need, check NHS eligibility where it applies, and answer questions before anything is booked.
- You choose a time. Appointments are arranged around the patient, not around a clinic diary. A carer or family member is welcome to be there.
- A HomeSight clinician visits. A GOC registered optometrist for eye care, an HCPC registered audiologist for hearing care. They bring the equipment to you.
- You get the results on the day, explained in plain English, with everything written down.
Booking for someone else
Most HomeSight visits are arranged by a son, daughter, carer or care home manager rather than by the patient. That is normal, and you do not need power of attorney to make the booking. Give us your own contact details and tell us who the appointment is for. We will speak to the patient before any examination and make sure they are happy to go ahead. More for families and carers.
If you would rather talk to someone
